Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Skilled Trades Recruiter to support high-volume skilled trades hiring within the Canadian and North American staffing market. Preference will be given to candidates with experience recruiting for industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or maintenance environments.

This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in MSP/VMS environments, understands contract staffing dynamics, and can quickly deliver quality candidates for skilled trades positions across multiple client accounts.

 

As part of our hiring process, the first step will include an interview conducted by an AI interviewer. This allows us to efficiently and fairly assess all applicants using consistent, unbiased questions.

Contract: 3-6 months contract (with possibility of extension and/or conversion)

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for skilled trades and industrial positions within MSP/VMS programs.
  • Source and engage candidates for roles such as Welders, Electricians, Millwrights, Pipefitters, CNC Machinists, Assemblers, Maintenance Technicians, and other skilled trades professionals.
  • Build and maintain pipelines of skilled trades talent across Canada and/or the U.S.
  • Screen candidates for technical skills, certifications, licenses, safety training, and project experience.
  • Negotiate and structure contract offers including T4 and Incorporated (INC) rate structures.
  • Maintain strong communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Ensure submissions meet client quality and turnaround expectations.
  • Track recruitment activity and manage priorities across multiple requisitions.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within skilled trades, industrial, or blue-collar staffing.
  • Experience recruiting in the Canadian and/or North American staffing market.
  • Proven success working within MSP/VMS programs.
  • Ability to recruit for high-volume and difficult-to-fill trades positions.
  • Strong candidate engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience recruiting for construction, manufacturing, energy, mining, utilities, or industrial maintenance sectors.
  • Familiarity with union and non-union environments.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or government-related clients.
  • Understanding of trade certifications and safety compliance requirements.
