- Data Protection & Cyber Resilience Architect (IBM / Hybrid Platform)

Responsibilities:
- Define target-state architecture for IBM Storage Protect modernization, including container storage pools, disk-based retention, and workload tiering (Tier 0–4)
- Architect cyber resilience capabilities leveraging IBM Storage Defender (DRS, Sentinel), Predatar orchestration, and Safeguarded Copy for immutable recovery.
- Design isolated recovery environments (IRE) with secure segmentation, controlled access, and cleanroom recovery models
- Define policy-driven lifecycle management, including retention, replication, and tiered storage across flash, disk, and tape
- Lead integration of:
- IBM FlashSystem (FS9500) storage platforms
- IBM DRS (monitoring)
- Safeguarded Copy (immutable snapshots)
- Predatar cyber recovery orchestration
- IBM Sentinel (threat detection and anomaly analysis)
- SOC/SIEM and ITSM workflows
- Design backup optimization strategies (incremental-forever, synthetic full, DB2 log orchestration, container-aware protection)
- Define automation and orchestration models for backup, restore, and cyber recovery scenarios
- Establish recovery validation frameworks, including automated testing, malware scanning, and clean-copy verification
- Create LLD architecture based on HLD architecture, security boundaries, and communication paths across on-prem and SaaS telemetry components
- Align architecture to RTO/RPO objectives, compliance, auditability, and operational resilience reporting
Key Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in enterprise backup, storage, and cyber resilience architecture
- Deep expertise in:
- IBM Storage Protect (Spectrum Protect)
- IBM Storage Defender (DRS, Sentinel)
- Predatar Cyber Recovery Orchestration
- IBM FlashSystem (FS9500) and Safeguarded Copy
- Strong experience with isolated recovery environments (IRE) and cyber recovery architectures
- Knowledge of DB2, AIX, VMware, Linux, Windows backup/recovery models
- Experience integrating with SOC/SIEM, ITSM, and automation platforms
- Strong executive communication and governance leadership
