Senior Software Engineer
- Pay Rate: $70 – $80/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Location: 50 miles within Approved Hub Locations (Remote)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
This position entails developing web applications for high-volume, mission critical use. The role will primarily focus on hands-on coding of projects using the technologies listed below. Proven ability to organize workload and priorities and complete tasks on time while working effectively in a team environment. Acting as a resource for other software engineers and as a liaison between department manager and other analysts, as well as the business team.
Responsibilities
- Operate within an Agile Scrum SDLC environment including requirements analysis, software design, prototyping, programming, debugging and testing of system software applications.
- Develop, debug, and deliver enterprise applications leveraging AI tools as part of the SDLC process daily.
- Participate in technical design and implementation.
- Proactively raise issues if specifications will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
- Collaborate with fellow developers in areas of expertise as well as various roles across the organization.
- Demonstrate self-directed and bias-for-action mindsets to solve problems.
- Proactively mentor fellow developers in areas of expertise.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing software in JavaScript, Typescript and/or Node.
- 3+ years of experience developing web applications using Next.JS framework.
- 5+ years of experience developing databases using SQL.
- 3+ years of experience deploying and running code in cloud environments (Azure strongly preferred)
- Experience leverage AI tools to analyze, design, debug, code and other tasks daily.
- Experience writing multi-tier components for high volume systems.
- Experience with infrastructure management a plus.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Outstanding troubleshooting and technical support skills.
Distinguishing features for a Senior Software Engineer, in addition to those listed above, may include:
- 2+ additional years of experience developing software in common languages like C#, Java, Python, etc.
- 3+ years of experience with advanced infrastructure experience
- Experience leveraging AI agents to chain tasks and create workflows for various needs of the project
- Experience using NoSQL database systems a plus
- Advanced degree or training in related technical field preferred
Distinguishing features for a Lead, Software Engineer, in addition to those listed above, may include:
- 1+ additional years of experience developing software in common languages like C#, Java, Python, etc.
- Prior experience leading teams with a proven track record of being high-performing and trusted.
- Experience open-sourcing AI workflows to team members and the organization to uplift the company's AI usage.
