Regional Service Network Specialist (Central Region)

We’re Raise an Ian Martin Company. On behalf of our client, Accerta, we are looking to hire a full-time Regional Service Network Specialist who lives in the Central region they represent. This is a one year contract – Mat Leave coverage position.

  • Central Region – Simcoe, York, Peel, Dufferin, Wellington, Halton and Kitchener/Waterloo Regions.

Regional Service Network Specialist

In this hybrid position, you'll report to the Regional Service Network Manager(s) and collaborate closely with families and children's services sector providers to ensure that registered families and local service providers have access to accurate and timely information, fostering their needs in local communities. Working in harmony with community leaders and partner organizations, RS Specialists will utilize an equity-based framework to work with local service providers and families, customizing the experience for each region's specific needs. This role involves building bridges between various children's service sector organizations, ultimately supporting all families enrolled.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

  • Collaborate with providers with the goal of ensuring cohesive information sharing related to families across the province
  • Liaise with service providers across children's service sectors to map existing services within local regions that registered families may be able to access
  • Support families in accessing AccessOAP services and supports using a family centered, culturally and linguistically appropriate approach
  • Complete tasks related to ensuring accurate service mapping and resources within designated region
  • In partnership with local service providers and teams deliver webinars and/or in person events to support the dissemination of accurate information about AccessOAP processes, services, and supports.

The Details:

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. The role may require you to work evenings and weekends. Approximately, 80-90% of your work will be based out of a home office, but occasionally you must be flexible to occasionally work out of multiple locations and be able to travel within the region and sometimes within other parts of the province. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required. They offer a base salary, bonus, internet allowance, cell phone allowance, vacation, a home office allowances every two years, group benefits and pension plan, effective on your first day.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Preference will be given to those with an undergraduate university degree or a college diploma in the social services field
  • 1-2 years of autism-related work experience or within a similar environment will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of community resources for children, youths with special needs, especially knowledge of the autism and developmental sector
  • Experience with presentations and facilitating workshops and groups will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams
  • Bilingualism or multilingualism is considered an asset
  • Must live in the region they represent
  • Understands how to deal with marginalized and vulnerable populations
  • Ability to prioritize work under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills to work independently, and take initiative
  • Problem solving and analytical reasoning skills

Note: A condition of employment is that you must clear an enhanced criminal background check and a Vulnerable Sector Search.
