Key Responsibilities
- Perform data profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and quality issues.
- Produce Data Profiling Reports and Legacy Landscape Reports.
- Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to define data and reporting requirements.
- Develop conceptual data models and data flows.
- Design and execute ETL processes and data migration activities.
- Ensure data integrity and implement data quality controls.
- Support vendor fit-gap analysis activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve data issues.
- Develop scripts and workflows for data automation and reconciliation.
- Validate migrated data for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in Data Quality Assurance activities.
- Contribute to data architecture discussions.
- Create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) using UML/BPMN.
- Support procurement and implementation of COTS solutions.
- Perform additional project-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience on large-scale IT projects.
- 7+ years of experience in data migration involving legacy systems transitioning to COTS platforms.
- Extensive experience in:
- Data profiling
- Data mapping
- Data transformation
- Data validation
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience.
- 5+ years of ETL design and execution experience.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Governance
- Data Quality
- Data Integrity
- Experience working on modernization projects within government or public sector organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
