Job Overview:
- The Materials Coordinator provides coordination and operational support for material storage, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities at our Cushing, Oklahoma material storage warehouse. This facility supports Enbridge's construction projects and maintains operational spare inventory for liquids pipeline operations and maintenance activities.
- This role is responsible for coordinating and tracking material movements, inspecting incoming shipments, directing warehouse contractors, and collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Project, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure the efficient flow, storage, and availability of materials. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain administrative control of all material movements into and out of the warehouse facility.
- Coordinate the flow of materials throughout warehouse and laydown yard areas.
- Manage material receipts, storage, and staging activities to support project and operational requirements.
- Inspect incoming shipments to ensure materials meet purchase order specifications and quality requirements.
- Verify the accuracy of received materials against purchase orders and coordinate with Supply Chain Management and project teams to resolve shortages, discrepancies, or incorrect orders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to material receipts, inventory, storage locations, and movements.
- Coordinate material shipments and deliveries with logistics providers and transportation carriers.
- Consult with project management teams regarding the disposition, return, transfer, or storage of surplus construction materials.
- Perform material inspections and prepare regular status reports on inventory and material availability.
- Provide guidance and oversight to warehouse contractors to support safe and efficient warehouse operations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for Supply Chain, Projects, Construction, Operations personnel, vendors, and external service providers regarding material procurement and receipt activities.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to collaborative project execution and operational success.
- Maintain warehouse, yard, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and presentable condition.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company policies, and all applicable safety regulations.
- Promote safety awareness and participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in construction, quality assurance/control, materials management, warehouse operations, and/or supply chain roles within the pipeline industry.
- Experience working with supply chain procurement systems and material management processes.
- Demonstrated experience conducting material inspections and interpreting technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic smartphone technology.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- Experience using Oracle, Maximo, or similar enterprise systems for materials receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Experience within the oil and gas industry.

Working Conditions:
- Based at a pipeline operations terminal with warehouse and outdoor yard facilities.
- Work involves frequent interaction with materials, storage systems, inventory documentation, and material-handling equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include steel-toed boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, coveralls, safety goggles, and face shields, as applicable.
- Exposure to industrial operating environments may occur. Flame-resistant (FR) clothing will be provided where required due to potential exposure to hazardous conditions associated with pipeline operations.
- Regular activities include warehouse inspections, inventory verification, material receiving, documentation review, coordination of shipments, and maintaining operational readiness of stored materials.
