  • Pay Rate: $106.56/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 3 Months with a possible extension

Raise is currently hiring a Senior Business Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Senior Business Analyst in this role, will act as a critical bridge between our engineering teams and key business stakeholders. You will drive the end-to-end determination workflow, own process mapping, define precise requirements, and establish robust human-in-the-loop review gates for complex digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities            

  • Agile Leadership & Backlog Management: Lead Agile ceremonies, own process mapping, and create comprehensive epics and user stories covering end-to-end determination workflows (inputs, transformations, outputs, and cross-story dependencies). Manage and groom the product backlog.
  • Stakeholder & Engineering Liaison: Facilitate communication between technical development teams and business stakeholders to quickly resolve open design decisions. Manage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Requirements & Acceptance Criteria: Define and refine acceptance criteria for each user story in collaboration with business teams, ensuring outputs match business expectations and adhere strictly to the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Workflow & Review Gate Design: Design human-in-the-loop review gates, defining how information is surfaced to analysts, how overrides are captured, and how analyst sign-off flows through the system.
  • Data Management: Manage the Data Schema reference document and mapping document, including field definitions, mandatory vs. optional classifications, source hierarchy rules, and controlled vocabularies.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Validate prototype outputs against requirements, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), design test cases, and provide user adoption support.
  • Strategic Alignment: Define OKRs and drive supporting workstreams to measure success and adoption.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 8+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Product Owner within complex digital, data, or software engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise working within Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end requirements gathering, process mapping, and backlog grooming for enterprise-level applications.
  • Experience designing data workflows, data mapping documentation, and user review gates (human-in-the-loop systems preferred).
  • Core Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional fluency in Agile practices, epics, user stories, DoR, and DoD.
  • Strong technical acumen to manage data schema reference documents, field definitions, and source hierarchy rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate UAT, design test cases, and drive user adoption.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements
  • Education and certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, or CSPO) are considered a strong asset.
