Raise is currently hiring a Business Analyst, Contractor Optimization on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.
Description
The Senior Business Analyst in this role will support the efficient deployment, governance, and productivity of our clients contracted resources. This is an exciting opportunity to drive continuous improvement across ’s enterprise Contractor Management program. The ideal candidate will spearhead updated and realigned process maps, execute comprehensive gap assessments, and formalize technical and business requirements to streamline operations and enhance contractor utilization across our tier-one assets.
Responsibilities
- Process Optimization & Re-Engineering: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, business process re-engineering, and requirements elicitation to modernize the Contractor Management program.
- Process Mapping & Workshops: Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops to map current-state workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and design optimized future-state processes.
- Data & Gap Analysis: Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to pinpoint root causes, process inefficiencies, risks, and tangible improvement opportunities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Develop clear business requirements, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and executive-level reports. Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and dynamic visualizations.
- Performance Measurement: Define and track process performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, benchmarking, and structured effectiveness assessments.
- Change Management & Enablement: Apply adult learning principles to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs and change management materials for diverse operational audiences.
- Project Delivery: Execute work plans, manage competing priorities, and drive project milestones to completion within strict timelines while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience, focusing heavily on process optimization, continuous improvement, and business process re-engineering.
- Demonstrated history of stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and comprehensive business/functional requirements gathering.
- Strong background in synthesizing complex data into executive dashboards, reports, and strategic recommendations.
- Practical application of standard process improvement methodologies, business analysis best practices, and design thinking principles.
- Experience developing and executing structured work plans and managing cross-functional initiatives in large corporate environments.
- Education and Certifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Preferred Industry Designations: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation will be considered strong assets.
