Simcorp GAIN Platform Engineer

  • Pay Rate: $87.50/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 4 Months with a possible extension

Raise is currently hiring a Simcorp GAIN Platform Engineer on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Note: The primary pay rate is based on W2 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an C2C classification, where applicable.

Description

The SimCorp GAIN Platform Engineer (SME) will be part of a major investment platform transformation, you will augment the client’s internal team and collaborate closely with SimCorp Professional Services. We are looking for a hands-on technical expert who can quickly diagnose workflow bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex pipeline issues, and implement robust fixes using C# and .NET. If you possess deep domain knowledge in data management and Security Master attributes, this is a high-impact opportunity to drive critical financial systems modernization under accelerated timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Customization & Engineering: Design, configure, and maintain custom components, data pipelines, and scheduled workflows utilizing SimCorp GAIN Studio and .NET/C#.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Rapidly investigate and resolve operational failures, data discrepancies, and workflow blockages within accelerated project timelines.
  • Security Master & Reference Data Management: Oversee and optimize inbound market data repositories, asset data flows, and Security Master attributes to ensure high data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside client stakeholders, internal engineering teams, and SimCorp Professional Services to align technical solutions with target operating model goals.
  • Workflow Optimization: Modernize legacy logic and streamline processes within the investment platform change initiative to ensure operational stability.

             

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of total software engineering and data management experience, with a minimum of 3–4 years specializing hands-on with the SimCorp GAIN / AIM Studio platform.
  • Strong technical proficiency in C#, .NET, and relational database management (SQL Server / Oracle), including writing scripts for data integration.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of Security Master attributes, reference data workflows, and investment management operations (buy-side / asset management).
  • Demonstrated sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis and execute fixes in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills; comfortable operating in hybrid working environments with flexibility for client site travel.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Relevant SimCorp GAIN technical/functional certifications or advanced certifications in .NET development and data management architectures are highly desired.
