Data Capture Analyst
Contract Length: 5 Months

Raise is currently hiring a Data Capture Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client is a market leading financial institution.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Dual Risk Rating (DRR) Data Capture Analyst to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the collection, organization, and basic quality assurance of data. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional to learn the fundamentals of data management and directly contribute to the accuracy and reliability of our analytical pipelines.
Our client is committed to building robust financial frameworks and maintaining the highest standards of risk management. The Dual Risk Rating (DRR) Program is a key strategic initiative seeking to establish foundational risk assessment tools, processes, and applications. This program aligns with regulatory expectations, meets peer financial institution best practices, and supports the redevelopment of non-consumer credit portfolio models. Specifically, the initiative aims to accurately rank-order Loss Given Default (LGD) via facility risk ratings (FRR) and Probability of Default (PD) via borrower risk ratings (BRR).
Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Collection: Assist with the systematic input and aggregation of data from specified sources into our internal tools and templates.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of data sources and collection activities.
- Collaboration: Work with the team to understand business requirements and ensure that data collection meets the needs of current projects.
- Process Assistance: Help troubleshoot basic data pipeline issues and suggest improvements for more efficient data handling.
Qualifications
- An early-career professional, recent graduate, or university student currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Computer Science). Prior internship or project experience involving basic data handling is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of data tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., comfortable handling structured data, organizing rows/columns, sorting/filtering, and performing basic data aggregation).
- Exceptional precision when performing data entry and collection. The candidate must be capable of following structured, repeatable processes meticulously to ensure data integrity within internal templates and tools.
- Proven capability to systematically ingest, consolidate, and input data from various specified sources into internal databases, tools, or tracking templates without errors.
- The ability to maintain clear, organized records of data sources and collection steps, while actively communicating with teammates to ensure data collection outputs align with broader business and project requirements.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a relevant qualification.
Additional Information
- A requirement for candidates when they are hired for this role will be to complete a criminal and credit check (including Canadian Credit Risk Score)
