Solutions Designer – Senior

Responsibilities:
• Lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative to assess the feasibility of migrating the existing Public Accounts consolidation application, CONSOL, from the legacy Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) solution to Oracle’s Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS)
• The project will encompass the assessment of current and future state, configuration of environment/application, and build of POC to assess the migration of the CONSOL application. It will also help infer future project plan, tasks, and duration and inform the future costing for the full-scale migration of CONSOL to FCCS.
General Skills:
• A strong financial background and past experience in designing and migrating Oracle Consolidation applications.
• Ability to gather client business requirements; corporate I&IT information mandates, client information technology strategic plans, environment and standards
• Ability to participate in the development of solutions and provide advice on short/long term solution service development activities.
• Knowledge of leading edge technologies design criteria, security and recovery procedures, preparation of technical specifications for installation, testing and performance of integrated, multi-services systems; assess performance and capacity of existing system making recommendations for improving performance and develop technical documentation.
• Experience planning, migrating, implementing and sustaining large complex system development projects
• Knowledge of technology developments, trends and new products to evaluated application to client short and long term technology requirements. Basic knowledge of project management methodology (e.g. PMBOK), analytical tools and processes.
Conceptual and analytical skills to assess and evaluate client needs and conduct cost/benefit analyses for new technology requirements in planning and designing solutions.
• Experience designing and developing large, complex, highly available, mission critical server applications
• Experience with systems evaluation to assess conditions, technical performance and capacity of existing systems and determine need and feasibility of expansion, renovation or replacement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills, team work skills
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Financial and Technical Solution Skills – 35%
• Oracle EPM Cloud solutions and design knowledge and experience. Experience with FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Service) is preferred, but not mandatory
• Applications expertise to assist in the analysis, solution and design of migrating existing HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) consolidation application
• Provide client support on production support, consult with vendors, consultants, and peers to manage and address application issues
• Experience implementing and providing support for the migration of large financial applications
• Knowledge and experience using financial planning, management accounting, and reporting applications such as forecasting, consolidations and public accounts
Analytical Skills – 30%
• Able to lead, gather and analyze business requirements, identifying impact on policies/processes, prepare cost benefit analyses and make recommendations
• Demonstrated experience designing and solutioning financial management, reporting and consolidation applications
• You have strong analytical skills to analyze multi-dimensional datasets, current business processes against best practices, identify gaps and propose areas for improvement
Communication Skills – 20%
• Strong collaboration skills to participate on committees and project status meetings.
• You are comfortable developing presentation and facilitating user requirement gathering
• Experience delivering presentations/findings to various clients, stakeholders and senior managers at the appropriate detail.
• Mediation, consensus building and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and partners at all levels
Project Management Skills – 15%
• Experience with formal systems implementation and current methodologies in managing projects such as Software Development Lifecycle, Waterfall, and Agile.
• You are very organized and able to meet deliverables and targets.
• Experience applying internal control procedures, business management frameworks, financial operations and controllership model
Must Have:
