Do you use AI to reject people?

No, we don’t use AI to reject candidates for our jobs. Your application or interest for a job will still be reviewed by our (human) team of recruiters.

Any time we work with you on a job, we’ll have follow-up questions for you that aren’t answered on your resume: what are your pay expectations? Are you okay with the commute, or the work arrangement? When would you be available for an interview? When would you be able to start?

Technology has made it easier for more people to apply for jobs – which is great! We want to break down barriers that stop people from connecting in meaningful work.

This also means, however, that there are more applications and not every candidate is a good fit for every role. To make sure we can still connect with as many people as possible, we use AI tools to help us ask those follow-up questions faster and more consistently.

The questions themselves are the same kinds of things a recruiter would ask you in an initial email or phone screen; the technology just helps us start that conversation sooner. You can provide more information when it’s convenient for you, instead of waiting for us to review your resume and try to catch you when you’re free for a call.

What kind of questions will the automated recruitment agent ask?

  • What is your overall experience with the requirements of the role
  • Are you authorized to work in this location for the duration of this contract without our sponsorship
  • What are your pay expectations for this role
  • Are you comfortable with the commute or work arrangement (e.g., for hybrid or remote roles)?
  • If this role were to go ahead, what kind of notice period would you have to give a current employer?
  • When would you be available for an interview with the company about this role?
  • If it looks like we can move forward with this role, when is a good time for our recruitment team to follow up with you?

Your answers help us understand you as a person: what matters to you in your next role, how you like to work, and whether this position makes sense for you right now. When a role looks like a potential match based on your responses, a human on our team reviews your information and decides on next steps.

If a job isn’t the right fit, it doesn’t mean you’re not a strong candidate. It simply means this specific role doesn’t line up with your experience, goals, or availability at this moment. Our goal in using these tools is to open more doors to meaningful work, not to close them.
