- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 3 months with possible extension
- Location: Beaverton, OR 97005 (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Training Schedule: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Raise is currently hiring a Mailroom Clerk on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
The Mailroom Clerk position is responsible for helping in various areas of the client’s Systems Mail Center including handwork, fanning, quality check, and sorting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Handwork
- Staple packets, stuffing envelopes and organizing items as directed by standard operating procedures.
- Fanner
- Assists either Insert/Sorter operator at the end of the mail machines.
- Quality check production mail pieces to ensure mail is produced in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Performs line breakdown and tray preparation for entry into the USPS.
- Sweeper
- Setting up the machinery that performs all the mailing operations.
- Adjust the machinery during run times, work independently to maintain consistent quality through the run, and maintaining quantity counts.
- Meter
- Applies postage to mail pieces by running them through a Postage Meter.
- Quality checks the mail pieces before and after processing to ensure mail is produced in accordance with USPS Regulations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of USPS Regulations.
- Results-driven with high attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist, and lift.
- Must be able to understand English and follow operator instructions.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
