- Pay Rate: $37.30/hour, depending on experience

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Technician or Technologist to join our clients Equipment Testing Services team. In this temporary position, you will provide critical technical, operational, and administrative support to keep our specialized electrical test equipment, tools, and inventory fully managed and operational. Working alongside engineers, technologists, and field testing personnel, you will ensure equipment readiness, maintain precise database records, and uphold our clients high standards for safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain and track comprehensive records for electrical test equipment, specialized tools, and inventory.
- Coordinate asset assignments, equipment retirement workflows, and lifecycle documentation.
- Operational Readiness: Assist with equipment prep, maintenance schedules, calibration tracking, and general operational support to ensure testing personnel have reliable, ready-to-use gear.
- Data & Technical Administration: Prepare, update, and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and database records. Compile and analyze operational data using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Team & Technical Support: Provide clear administrative and technical support to multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technologists, and testing crews.
Qualifications
- 4 years of directly related technical work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and intermediate-to-advanced proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). Working knowledge of engineering or database software applications.
- Background in inventory control, equipment tracking, technical documentation, or operational logistics.
- Experience within a utility, engineering, testing laboratory, maintenance, construction, or industrial environment. (is an asset)
- Excellent organization, strong multitasking abilities, and clear written and verbal English communication skills suited for a professional technical environment.
- Education and Certifications
- Two-year Diploma of Technology in a relevant discipline (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OR One-year Certificate in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence (or provincial equivalent) in good standing
Additional Information
Ability to safely handle, move, and organize equipment, tools, and materials using standard material-handling equipment in compliance with WorkSafeBC guidelines and Company safety policies.
Ability to travel occasionally to other company facilities or field locations as required.
Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
