Senior Engineer
- Pay Rate: $47 – $50/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 18 months

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
This position supports the project management group by providing design review, development of specifications, technical writing, project management, and overall support of LNG projects that include the installation of systems such as; feed gas pre-treatment, boil off gas recompression, liquefaction, vaporization, electrical distribution, instrumentation and controls. The individual will coordinate the review of vendor documents, soliciting and providing comments, markups, and ensuring the project’s requirements are met and comply with all applicable codes and standards. The position is multi-faceted with responsibilities that will vary dependent on the projects’ needs but will include; directly supporting responses to submittals, RFIs, the review of schedules, change order assessment, and will assist in providing on site construction support. The Project Engineer reports directly to the Lead Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, creates, and participates in project meetings with respective stakeholders, staying informed of project status and actively supporting the project’s technical needs.
- Takes ownership in coordinating the technical group’s review of project documents.
- Successful implementation of projects including planning, execution, development, engineering, and project management of LNG capital projects.
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 59A, 40 CFR 193, ASME B31.3, and all other applicable codes and standards.
- Development of project budgets, estimates project costs, prepares bid specifications, performs equipment analysis and selection.
- Responds to submittals and RFIs, and solicits responses from other disciplines, allowing for their timely response.
- Supports the development of new process and equipment procedures.
- Records information to ensure project is appropriately documented for future regulatory review.
- Identifies and documents lessons learned for their use in future projects.
- Responsible for securing approval of permits and licenses, budgets, materials, contractors and other resources.
- Ensures the projects meet pre-determined objectives concerning quality, adherence to technical specifications, reliability, schedule and budget.
- Obtains, oversees, integrates, and coordinates internal and external resources necessary to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time.

Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, chemical, process, petroleum, or other related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
Technical Skills
- Experience working as part of an engineering, maintenance, technology or construction project team in support of LNG, power, oil or gas plant construction.
- Must deal with short time frames and handle multiple competing projects and priorities.
- Must be independently motivated and able to work without detailed direction.
- Must support on site construction activities, monitoring quality and providing feedback.
- Must have a strong ability to interpret drawings and other technical documents.
- Must have a strong understanding of the technical principles of thermodynamics, cryogenic processes, piping, instrumentation, controls, rotating machinery, hazard identification and other engineering skills as they relate to LNG
- Must be capable of performing field-related duties which may include, but are not limited to: climbing, walking on uneven surfaces and working during inclement weather conditions.
- Very strong organization practices.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, effectively interfacing with stakeholders on a continual and frequent basis.
- Skilled with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), MS Project, Adobe PDF, AutoCAD
