Senior IT Recruiter – Banking & Financial Services (Contract)

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Recruiter to support technology hiring within the Canadian staffing market, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience recruiting for banking, financial services, or other highly regulated enterprise clients.
This role is ideal for a recruiter who understands IT talent markets, contract staffing, and MSP/VMS environments, and who can quickly identify and engage strong technical talent while managing multiple priorities and delivering against client expectations.
This position will start as a 3–6-month contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for IT and technology roles within MSP/VMS programs.
- Source and engage candidates across areas such as Software Development, Business Analysis, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Project Management, and IT Operations.
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of IT talent across Canada.
- Screen candidates for technical skills, relevant project experience, certifications, and overall fit for client requirements.
- Recruit for both specialized and high-volume technology requirements while maintaining strong candidate quality.
- Negotiate and structure contract offers, including T4 and Incorporated (INC) rate structures.
- Maintain consistent communication and engagement with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure candidate submissions meet client quality, compliance, and turnaround expectations.
- Track recruitment activity, manage competing priorities, and provide regular updates on requisition progress.
- Partner closely with hiring managers, program teams, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver against hiring needs.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of IT/Technical recruiting experience, preferably within the Canadian staffing market.
- Experience recruiting for a broad range of IT and technology positions.
- Experience working within MSP/VMS programs and supporting enterprise clients.
- Strong understanding of contract staffing structures, including T4 and Incorporated (INC) engagements.
- Proven ability to source and recruit for technical and specialized IT roles.
- Strong candidate engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to quickly understand technical requirements and identify qualified candidates.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and shifting priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Previous recruiting experience supporting banking, financial services, insurance, or fintech clients.
- Experience recruiting for large enterprise or highly regulated organizations.
- Familiarity with IT roles such as Software Developers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts/Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Cybersecurity professionals, Infrastructure/Network Engineers, Project Managers, and IT Support/Service Desk professionals.
- Experience working with Canadian banks or financial institutions is strongly preferred.
Performance Expectations
This role has clear delivery targets to support ramp-up success:
- Month 1–3: Target 1 placement per month while ramping up on accounts, clients, and requirements.
- Month 4+: Target 2 placements per month.
