General Utility Worker (Night Shift)
- Pay Rate: $19/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Work Schedule: 3rd shift | Monday – Friday | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM | candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays, OT
Raise is currently hiring a General Utility Worker (Night Shift) in Dallas, TX on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- This position is our entry-level position into the plant.
- The responsibilities of this job are cleaning and filling operator positions in different areas of the plant.
- Good communication and writing skills are required for this position.
- Candidate must be able to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts be able to fill the different operator positions throughout the plant after a training period.
- The position requires that you can: · lift 50 pounds · work from heights · sit, stand, kneel, crawl, and bend · work in a variety of hot and cold conditions.
Responsibilities
- Area housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and buildings
- Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
- Assist with product handling
- Movement and operation of forklift, skid-steer and front-end loaders.
- Barge Movement
- Rail Operations
Requirements
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, shovel material and operate a vacuum
- Commitment to client's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture
- Understand and follow company safety procedures
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed
- Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
- The client requires the successful completion of a background check
