Hybrid Interaction/Visual Designer
- Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid – (4 days on-site, WFH Monday, flexible)
- Pay Rate: $60.39/hr – $71.31/hr
- Contract Length: 12 Months.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other designers (Interaction, content, and Research) on the mobile team
- Facilitate and participate in workshops, ideation and collaborative sessions at various parts of the design process
- Use existing design systems and translate emerging mobile trends to bring designs and user experience to life
- Work with component team to create, use and update reusable design elements and patterns
- Propose and participate in user testing of designs
- Present their work to the wider team
- Take and give feedback frequently
Must have skills:
- 4+ years of relevant experience (talent, strong education, and sharp thinking are more important than years)
- Strong Visual Design expertise with solid Interaction Design (IXD) capabilities
- Experience with testing software, user testing (planning tests, launching them, and analyzing results)
- Top-notch soft skills: collaboration, facilitation, and cross-functional teamwork
- Familiarity with research tools like Alida, Maze, and Bloomfire (or ability to learn quickly)
- Ability to clearly articulate the client and the business problem, and to make design decisions based on them
- An understanding of trends in iOS and Android
- Thrives in an Agile environment where speed and efficiency are key to success
Nice to have skills:
- SME-level proficiency in Figma, Mural, and Keynote (nice to have)
- Experience using data/analytics to make and iterate on design decisions
- Understands front-end development and its constraints
- Experience working with Jira/Kanban board to track tasks and progress
