Who is the employer?

The Raise has partnered with our client, a dynamic organization operating within the nuclear industry. Committed to excellence, safety, and innovation, they are seeking a skilled ECC Subject Matter Expert to support key projects within a highly regulated environment, in collaboration with partners.

What you will be doing:

 

As the ECC Subject Matter Expert, you will play a critical role in providing expert-level guidance, oversight, and execution support for engineering change activities within OPG’s established ECC framework.

 

Practically speaking, you will:

 

·      Serve as the subject matter expert for OPG’s Engineering Change Control (ECC) process, ensuring compliance and quality

·      Provide guidance on ECC process steps, documentation standards, and best practices

·      Support the development and review of ECC submissions, including technical justifications and change packages

·       Assist in troubleshooting ECC process issues and identifying opportunities for improvement

·       Collaborate with internal stakeholders, design authorities, and external engineering teams

·      Support governance updates and process improvements aligned with client and partner requirements

Contribute to the overall lifecycle management of engineering changes

 

The details:

·      This is a 12-month contract position based in Pickering, Ontario, with a hybrid work model (3 days onsite)

·      Opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects within a leading Canadian utility

·      Collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment

What you will bring:

·      8–10 years of relevant industry experience with hands-on use of OPG’s ECC process

·      Experience gained either directly with OPG or through external engineering/design firms supporting OPG

·      Strong understanding of OPG engineering governance, design change workflows, and documentation standards

·      Proven ability to support ECC lifecycle activities, including submission development, review, and approval processes

·      Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is considered an asset

·      Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

·      Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
