Engineer, Digital QA
- Pay Rate: $68.21/hour on W2

- Location: Office: Houston, TX
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift (8 AM – 5 PM), 40 hours per week
- Duration: Approximately 8 months (possible extension or conversion)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Summary:
- Conducts complex quality assurance tests and analysis to ensure software meets specified standards and end-user requirements.
- This role involves advanced development and execution of test cases, handling ambiguous QA issues, and working with internal IT staff to determine resolutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- *Documentation: Drafts and revises complex testing documentation, including plans, conditions, and scripts.
- Execution: Performs advanced tests according to established plans, documents issues, and retests software corrections.
- Scheduling: Plans and manages user acceptance, alpha, and beta testing schedules.
- Data Management: Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to verify program logic and system flow.
- Strategy: Identifies and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of QA strategies.
- Mentorship: May coach less-experienced analysts and act as a team lead on specific system projects.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- *Core Skills: Advanced SQL, DBT, AWS Glue, Snowflake, API development, and Data Modeling.
- QA Tools: Experience with Quality Center, Quick Test Pro (QTP) automation, and Query tools like Toad.
- Technical Environment: Strong knowledge of SDLC, system design, and Cloud Computing.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS (or 4 years of additional related experience).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of previous QA experience required
- 5+ years with leadership experience preferred.
Additional Knowledge:
- * Subject matter knowledge of general business operations (HR, Finance).
- Familiarity with various platforms, including Salesforce, PeopleSoft, ETL/Informatica, GIS, and GPS.
- Ability to oversee functional business process and technical testing services from initiation to implementation.
