Member Service Representatives & Tellers

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have recent experience in the credit union or banking industry? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team at our Sugar Land branch as a Member Service Representative (MSR) and Teller.

Location: Sugar Land, TX

Pay Rates:

Member Service Representative: $21.00 – $25.00/hr

Teller: $18.00 – $21.00/hr

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Position 1: Member Service Representative (MSR)

  • Purpose: Serve as the primary liaison between members and the credit union by providing account support, opening new accounts, resolving member needs, and promoting CU products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist members in person, via phone, email, and digital channels
  • Open new accounts and service existing accounts
  • Provide accurate information about CU products and services
  • Complete transactions and account maintenance with proper documentation
  • Assist with plastic card issues and member inquiries
  • Perform backup teller duties as needed (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc.)
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all policies
  • Support member needs in a timely, professional manner

Preferred Experience:

  • Credit union MSR experience required
  • Fiserv/DNA experience is a plus

Position 2: Teller

  • Purpose: Provide accurate cash handling and transaction processing while delivering excellent member service. This position serves as the "face" of the credit union.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments
  • Verify signatures, balances, endorsements, and place appropriate holds
  • Promote CU services including loans, IRAs, certificates, and money orders
  • Process mobile deposits and night drop bags
  • Package coins/currency and maintain a balanced cash drawer daily
  • Ensure teller station is stocked and equipment issues are reported
  • Maintain compliance with all CU regulations and procedures

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years recent Teller experience in a credit union or bank
  • Teller Cash Recycler experience a plus
  • DNA experience a plus

General Requirements for Both Positions:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a credit union or bank
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Works independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Compliance with all CU policies, including BSA, Patriot Act, OFAC
  • A credit check is required for both roles (No Bankruptcy, No Collections)
