Job Overview
The Project Coordinator IV supports the successful transition of projects from initiation through to handover with business units. This role works closely with Project Managers to navigate Project Lifecycle Gating Control (PLGC), ensuring efficient project turnover and closeout. The coordinator plays a key role in tracking progress, addressing issues, and supporting operational readiness to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the efficient and timely turnover and closeout of projects
- Coordinate and facilitate Project Lifecycle Gating Control (PLGC) reviews
- Develop and maintain project closeout plans to ensure smooth project completion
- Represent projects in Operational Readiness Assurance (ORA) reviews with business units
- Track and monitor key issues, risks, and deficiencies impacting project turnover and closeout
- Provide regular updates and reporting on project closeout status and outstanding issues to leadership
- Collaborate with Project Managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and readiness
- Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are completed and transferred appropriately to business units
- Identify opportunities to improve project turnover and closeout processes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or project management support, including project turnover, operational readiness, gating, and closeout
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to independently coordinate activities and drive outcomes
- Proficiency in standard business and project management software tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Work Conditions
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other office locations or field sites
- May require extended working hours and availability outside of standard business hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to support project needs (approximately 2–5 times per quarter)
