Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hour on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Houston, TX 77041

Work Schedule: Work Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 2:00 pm – 12:30 am | Overtime

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Information: Standard Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring a Machine Operator (2nd Shift) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Job Overview:

The Machine Operator is responsible for helping provide safe, efficient and reliable product and service delivery to customers, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery. The Machine Operator ensures equipment is delivered on time and according to operational demands, and maintains shop and field equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate custom, non-CNC manufacturing machines
  • Assist with assembly work when not actively running machines
  • Handle long pipe materials safely and efficiently
  • Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities for a designated location (outside of Technology Lifecycle Management activities).
  • Maintain equipment according to procedures, reporting problems or deviations.
  • Operate equipment according to procedures, competency levels and job requirement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process.
  • Participate in failure investigations when relevant.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Machine operation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • The equipment is custom, so full training is provided.
  • A strong commitment to safety and prior experience in safety-sensitive roles is essential.
  • Candidates must be reliable and have a stable work history.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are required.
  • Experience in assembly is a plus.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or combilifts is beneficial.
  • Experience handling pipes is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAP software is helpful.

Safety & PPE:

  • Strong safety culture is a core expectation.
  • PPE provided by the company, except: Steel-toe boots required on Day 1.
