Machine Operator – 1st Shift
- Pay: $22.00/hour on W2

- Duration: 7-month contract with a possibility of extension

- Shift: 1st Shift
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Overtime: Mandatory every other Saturday
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Position Summary
- The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery while ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to production standards. This role requires attention to detail, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and monitor output quality and machine performance
- Perform minor machine adjustments using hand tools to maintain quality and efficiency
- Conduct production, quality inspection, and mailing of materials and finished goods
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition
- Complete and audit documentation for production, inventory, ISO controls, and finished goods
- Handle material shredding and disposal
- Stock materials and prepare for production runs
- Perform weekly cleaning of the shop floor (sweeping, trash removal)
- Review job sheets and proofs to confirm customer specifications
- Communicate production, quality, or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Identify and initiate corrective actions for machine or process issues
- Support shift transitions by communicating job and machine status
- Troubleshoot and repair minor machine issues using training and experience
- Assist other operators and provide coverage during breaks and lunch
- Provide feedback on training materials and manuals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including typing and Excel)
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask
- Ability to troubleshoot routine machine issues
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and checklists
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with team members
- Must be eligible to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance post-hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Up to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Up to 1 year of machine operation or IT experience
- Prior experience operating production machinery
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels (below 85 decibels)
- Repetitive motion required during machine operation
- Must have strong eye-hand coordination
- Ability to distinguish colors across the full spectrum
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Required use of safety shoes and additional PPE (e.g., safety glasses) as needed
Onboarding & Hiring Process:
- Background and Drug Screen must be completed and cleared
- Submission of Chanhassen Applicant Information Sheet after clearance
- Final approval required before start date (may take up to 2 weeks)
