Materials Handler
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $24.00/hour on W2, depending on experience.
Work Type: Onsite – Houston, TX 77075
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm | Occasional Weekends
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring a Materials Handler on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for moving materials from machines at workstation as part of production process.
- Issue and transfer parts for production.
- Assist Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of materials management experience required.
- SAP experience is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills required. Ideal candidate is self-directed and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. (Training will be provided.)
Work Environment:
- 80% warehouse/shop, 20% desk.
- Not climate-controlled.
- Fast-paced and dynamic.
