We at Raise are hiring a Therapeutic Specialist for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand. 

Responsibilities:

• Competitively selling the on-label features and benefits of Trodelvy

• Achieving sales targets in the assigned territory (AB, SK, MB)

• Establishing and developing business relationships with key customers, accounts and relevant key opinion leaders. Responsible for setting and achieving customer contact plans and delivering on related KPIs (e.g. reach & frequency)

• Preparing business plans for your territory aligned to local cancer alliance priorities, communicating required actions to achieve goals. With guidance, initiating systems to monitor sales progress and implementation of action plans.

• Working co-operatively with Gilead Medical Scientists, Marketing and Government Relations on various cross-functional projects.

• Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures.

• Responsible for identifying and mapping out patient referral pathways within the cancer alliances in a territory and facilitating patient access to treatment.

• Responsible for working in partnership with Regional Market Access colleagues to ensure local access is in place for Gilead medicines.

• May represent Gilead at professional events and promote company products

• Assisting in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, communicating proactively with Marketing and Sales management.

• Completing necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g. sales call entry updating customer database, expenses, etc.

• Responsible for achieving & maintaining the competency levels required in the role.

• Always ensuring compliance with country regulations and code of practice

• The role will require travel and the need for overnight stays

Knowledge, experience and skills:

• Minimum 2+ years pharmaceutical specialty sales experience; oncology experience desired with strong preference for breast cancer (however not mandatory)

• Demonstrates a passion for supporting patients in need

• Must have proven expertise in building interpersonal relationships, along with strong influencing and selling skills

• Demonstrates customer focus with proven results selling in a hospital environment; preference to those with existing relationships with breast cancer treaters

• Strong team player who is accustomed to thriving in a matrix (team) environment

• The ideal candidate will have a passion for commercializing this breakthrough medicine, a strong competitive and commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen and a patient centric approach.

• Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of how cancer services are delivered.

• Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and build working relationships internally and externally. Must be able to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.

• Must demonstrate solid analytical skills, be able to identify and understand moderate to complex issues and problems and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to management and specialists.

• Must possess an undergraduate degree (BA or BSc degree)
