Harvest – Scale Clerk
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 4 months
- Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Location: Grand Ledge, MI 48837 (Onsite)
- Additional Details: The position will be 8 hours per day until the first or second week of July, when it will switch to 12-hour shifts. The regular 8-hour shift schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the 12-hour shift schedule will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Once the wheat harvest is complete, the schedule will return to 8-hour shifts until the fall harvest begins.

Overview
- Scale Clerk is a clerical position involved in the daily tasks of the office (weighing trucks, grading grain, operating a PLC program, data entry, answer phone and filing).
- This position will provide excellent customer service displaying a positive and professional attitude
Responsibilities
- Weigh trucks Data entry
- Answer phone
- File and retain documents
- Maintain clean and neat workspace
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Commitment to client's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture.
- Understand and follow company safety procedures.
Skills Required
- Computer skills are a must.
- Previous experience with data entry using Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred
- Previous experience with office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting, prolonged periods of using a telephone, bending, kneeling, lift storage boxes
- Willing to work overtime and weekends
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting
