  • Pay Rate: $91.00–$111.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 1 year

Raise is currently hiring a Senior HR Advisor on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Senior HR Advisor provides strategic, business-facing HR operational support while leading initiatives that improve HR service delivery, technology, and employee experience. This role serves as a senior subject matter expert on HR systems and works closely with HR, HRIS, and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions.

The successful candidate will bring strong HR operations experience, advanced knowledge of HR technology, and the ability to lead complex initiatives and influence stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

HR Advisory & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a senior HR Advisory representative for assigned client groups.
  • Provide guidance on complex and high-impact HR operational matters.
  • Apply HR policies, procedures, systems, and best practices to develop effective solutions.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to address operational challenges and improve employee experience.

HR Technology & Systems

  • Act as a subject matter expert for HR systems including Workday, SAP, and ServiceNow.
  • Support system configuration, testing, reporting, optimization, and HCM functionality.
  • Partner with HRIS teams to implement technology-enabled solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize HR systems and improve automation and self-service capabilities.

Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Lead and contribute to initiatives involving HR automation, process redesign, self-service, and system optimization.
  • Analyze trends and recurring issues to identify process, policy, and system gaps.
  • Develop and implement scalable and sustainable HR solutions.
  • Represent HR Advisory on large, integrated project teams and contribute to measurable business outcomes.

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Influence stakeholders across HR and business functions to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex HR issues and organizational improvements.
  • Support change initiatives and help stakeholders adopt new processes and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships across HR, HRIS, and business teams.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of progressive HR operations experience in a business-facing role.
  • Oil and gas experience is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPHR designation or working toward designation is an asset.
  • Experience working within an HR shared services environment is preferred.
  • Strong experience with HR systems and technology.
  • Experience with SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • HRIS implementation and optimization experience.
  • Experience with HR automation and self-service solutions.
  • Strong process redesign and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Experience supporting large-scale organizational transformation.
  • Ability to translate complex HR and technical requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Strong consulting, influencing, and change management skills.
