Raise Workforce has partnered with the leading provider of workforce camp and hospitality services, operations and maintenance services. They are seeking multiple Carpenter Laborers to support the setup, assembly, and general maintenance of a temporary camp project in Northern Canada.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with carpentry, construction, maintenance, or renovation experience who enjoys working with their hands and supporting a busy site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to travel, and seeing the North while gaining work experience.
What You'll Be Doing…
- Assist with the setup and preparation of camp facilities
- Complete general carpentry repairs, adjustments, and touch-ups
- Assist with assembling and installing furniture, fixtures, doors, shelving, and other camp components
- Help repair or replace damaged materials and equipment
- Assist with basic plumbing and maintenance tasks as required
- Move, organize, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment
- Safely use common hand tools and power tools
- Assist tradespeople and site personnel with general construction and maintenance activities
- Help with site cleanup, debris removal, and maintaining organized work areas
- Assist with unpacking, assembling, and positioning camp equipment and supplies
- Identify and report damaged materials or areas requiring repair
- Support the team with other general carpentry and labour duties as required
- Other tasks as required
What We're Looking For…
- Previous experience in carpentry, construction, renovation, maintenance, or general labour
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to complete basic repairs, adjustments, and installation tasks
- Basic plumbing or maintenance experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Comfortable performing physical work and lifting/moving materials
- Reliable, adaptable, and willing to assist with a variety of tasks
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors and in changing weather conditions
- Able to work away from home in a remote camp environment
- Carpentry certification is not required
