Job Overview: 

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst III to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery while leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), data-driven insights, and process optimization techniques to drive automation and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to identify opportunities for operational excellence, translate business needs into actionable solutions, and successfully deliver initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes. You will also play a key role in managing organizational change by developing stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans, adoption approaches, and sustainment activities that ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and support cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, prioritize, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs, assumptions, constraints, risks, and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain project and business analysis deliverables, including business rules, requirements documentation, process maps, operating models, and solution specifications.
  • Assess and document organizational impacts, decision rights, governance structures, controls, and opportunities for process harmonization and automation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and develop supporting documentation that enables understanding and adoption.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance analysis, documentation, reporting, communication, and decision-making while maintaining appropriate governance and data quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to provide actionable business insights and measure operational performance and adoption.
  • Design and support business solutions using SharePoint and Power Apps, including forms, workflows, document management, and process digitization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, standardize processes, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Contribute to enterprise business process optimization and harmonization initiatives while balancing operational requirements and organizational standards.
  • Assess change impacts and develop change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and adoption strategies to support successful implementation.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies across projects, systems, business processes, and organizational initiatives to ensure effective execution and alignment with business priorities.
  • Operate effectively across multiple roles, including Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Change Lead, depending on project needs and organizational priorities.
  • Partner with training teams to assess learning needs, support training material development, and coordinate training activities aligned with implementation timelines.
  • Collaborate with technology and information systems teams to support system enhancements, implementations, testing activities, cutover readiness, and solution deployment.
  • Support a variety of business functions, including asset management, pipeline integrity, facility integrity, work management, compliance, and related operational disciplines.
  • Successfully manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining high-quality deliverables, strong stakeholder relationships, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Provide innovative recommendations and practical solutions that improve safety, operational reliability, efficiency, compliance, and work execution.
  • Challenge conventional thinking, promote continuous improvement, and help drive operational excellence across the organization.

  • Contribute to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and projects that may impact large portions of the organization.
  • Influence business outcomes through process improvements, technology adoption, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support organizational objectives by delivering sustainable solutions that improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing analysis, recommendations, and leadership throughout project and change initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting field operations, business process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading projects and influencing stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and business insights using Power BI.
  • Experience supporting process automation and digital transformation initiatives using modern collaboration and productivity tools.

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar certification.
  • Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Formal change management experience or certification, such as Prosci.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity solutions, including Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
  • Experience working within integrity management, asset management, operations, maintenance, compliance, or field services environments.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work arrangement consisting of both office and remote work.
  • Limited travel may be required depending on project assignments and operational needs.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to support critical project milestones and business priorities.
  • Frequent computer-based work, virtual collaboration, meetings, analysis, and documentation activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining professionalism, quality, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting of materials up to 20 pounds may be required.
