Raise is currently hiring a Facilities Coordination Project Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The  Facilities & Project Coordinator in this role will manage baseline facilities, assets, and low-to-medium risk improvement projects for our Learning & Development (L&D) training facilities. Reporting to project and operational leads, this dual-focus role combines hands-on facilities management, first aid coordination, and stakeholder collaboration with foundational project management capabilities. You will ensure the Trades Training Centre (TTC) operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Operations & Maintenance: Conduct daily safety occupancy checks of the TTC, coordinate service calls, address building issues, and execute assigned monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Project Management: Plan, direct, and report on low-to-medium risk business process or facility change projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Safety & First Aid Program: Maintain an Intermediate First Aid certificate, act as the primary first aid responder at the TTC, manage the facility's first aid program, and drive a strong workplace safety culture.
  • Asset & Technology Support: Identify and report L&D asset issues, manage shipping/receiving logistics, and maintain L&D technologies and basic computing hardware.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Coordinate with internal L&D teams, external service providers, and skilled trades while managing occupant facility concerns from intake to resolution.     

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, facilities coordination, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, MS Teams, and intermediate skills in project management software/MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, time management, and supervision/people management skills.
  • Good physical health, able to lift up to 23 kg, and remain ambulatory for the majority of the workday.
  • High commitment to workplace safety with experience in emergency management processes and interpreting complex rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English proficiency for a professional utility environment.
  • Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
  • Experience working within an electrical utility or complex safety environments.
  • Technical writing background, experience working with IT systems/technologies, skilled trades coordination, and materials/shipping-receiving management in a large commercial environment.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; formal training in Facilities Management or Basic Project Management. Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
  • Designations: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
  • Valid Intermediate First Aid Certificate.

Additional Information

  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
