AI Developer
- Pay rate: $90.00 – 98.70/hour (based on experience)
- Contract Length: 1 year, with the possibility to extend up to 18 months
- Location: Calgary in office 5 days a week
Raise is currently hiring a AI Developer team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview
The AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy advanced artificial intelligence applications that drive business value and enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and hands-on experience implementing Generative AI and machine learning models within full-stack environments.
This role involves end-to-end ownership of AI application development—from architecture design to deployment—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement full-stack AI applications, covering front-end, back-end, and model pipeline deployment.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate AI and ML solutions into production systems.
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to support iterative AI application development.
- Optimize and fine-tune models for accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Develop APIs and services to expose AI capabilities across systems.
- Conduct research to stay current on emerging AI, ML, and Generative AI technologies.
- Document models, code, and processes for scalability, maintainability, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing production-grade full-stack applications, preferably on Azure, leveraging machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, C++, Angular, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Express, ASP.NET, Flask, and Bootstrap.
- Experience working with REST APIs, LLM pipelines (OpenAI/OSS), and Autogen (multi-agent orchestration).
- Proficient with modern development tools and methodologies (Agile, CI/CD).
- In-depth knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, Generative AI models, and cloud-native application design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong grasp of application architecture and software engineering principles.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-performance AI-driven applications.
- Stay informed of advancements in AI and Generative AI to inform product innovation and development.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- 5+ years of experience in AI and full-stack development.
- Experience deploying AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in AI-focused journals or conferences.
