Cable Associate
Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Location: Onsite – Garden Grove, CA 92841
Work Schedule: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm | Monday – Friday with possible overtime and weekend work
Duration: 12-month contract with possible extension/conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Cable Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability to operational changes and delivery targets, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately count and document cable lengths while spooling
- Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables, connectors to restore functionality.
- Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures and ensuring secure and reliable connections.
- Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results.
- Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role. Knowledge of low-voltage, high-voltage is a plus.
- Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, cable testers, Hi-Pot.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical work.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables.
- Comfortable working on feet for long hours conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
