Data Engineer
· 1+ year contract
· Pay Rate: $65-$85/hour
· On-site in Toronto

Raise is hiring for several leading Financial Services clients in downtown Toronto right now. They have ongoing needs for Data Engineers with advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, with experience building and maintaining database systems.

Responsibilities
· Build and maintain database systems
· Find warehousing solutions
· Use ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) tools
· Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features
· Collaborate with other developers to ensure that the codebase is consistent and maintainable
· Participate in code reviews to ensure that code is of high quality
· Continuously improve the development process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
Qualifications
· Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python
· Experience in building and maintaining database systems
· Experience in finding warehousing solutions
· Experience in using ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) tools
· Experience with other related technologies such as NoSQL, Java, R, and Scala would be considered a plus
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
