We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing like crazy and adding a Direct Hire – Internal Auditor to their team.

Pay Rate: $100K- $115K/year Depending on experience
Work Type: Hybrid – 2-3 days In-Office
Location: Houston, TX 77077
Duration: 3-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Information: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required

Job Overview:

* The Internal Auditor role is pivotal in evaluating the company's financial and operational processes to ensure compliance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
* Responsible for improving the company’s operations by conducting assurance and advisory engagements by using a variety of procedures to test the design, adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planning, organizing, and eventually leading various audit engagements for the client’s businesses worldwide.
* Examine the company's financial records, accounting practices, and business operations to identify potential risks and inefficiencies.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Analyze risk management processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote transparency and accountability.
* Participate in special projects, due diligence reviews, post-acquisition reviews and investigations, as required.
* Attend seminars and training courses.
* Stay current on job-related technology.
* Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
* Master's or certifications (CPA/CIA/ACCA) preferred.
* 4-8 yrs experience in an external audit firm.
* Big4 experience preferred.
* Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time & around 6 trips a year.
