About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Expeditor to optimize our supply chain operations by analyzing sources of supply, production schedules, transportation methods, and other critical data. Your primary goal will be to determine the best possible delivery schedule of purchased materials to meet Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery criteria. This role is essential in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of materials, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze sources of supply, production schedules, and transportation methods to optimize delivery schedules.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery criteria.
- Collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and transportation providers to ensure timely and efficient material delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and present findings to management, providing recommendations for optimizing logistics operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
