Position – General Contractor (Estimator) – Data Centers
- Pay Rate: $85K – $115K Base USD Yearly

Raise is currently hiring a permanent, full-time team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Analyze construction drawings and specifications to from a General Contractors perspective to complete the trade takeoff necessary to issue the RFP bid package
- Interact with owner, architect, engineers and consultants to resolve specification and/or design issues.
- Determine client requirements and needs from plans
- Define project scope for each trade
- Prepares documentation and solicit to subcontractors and vendors for bidding.
- Work with manufacturers and vendors to provide pricing, scheduling and feasibility of products required to complete the bid package.
- Attend pre-bid site visits as requested to gather essential information.
- Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission ensuring a complete understanding of the scope of work and valuate each sub-contractor’s proposal against the project’s scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Research materials and equipment.
- Identify labor, material and time requirements of project.
- Generate project schedules for estimating, projecting time frames, material lead times, potential setbacks to submit with bid.
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Review any bonding and insurance requirements.
- Transmit any addenda and other bid information to sub-contractor’s.
- Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors.
- Understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as strong. familiarity with utilization of the internet and web-based procurement platforms.
- Proven experience as construction site superintendent and estimator is preferred
- Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, written, verbal, and negotiation abilities.
- Well-organized and reliable.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to complete required paperwork correctly to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated team player who can easily adapt to changes.
- Submits 100% of bids and budgets by bid deadline-no exceptions.
- Ability to work anytime to make sure bid is submitted by deadline-no exceptions.
- Clean background and driving record; drug free.
