What You'll Work On
As a Go (Go lang) Developer, you’ll contribute to mission-critical projects in a high-impact environment. You’ll:
- Analyze complex business requirements and design scalable, event-driven software solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy microservices using Go and containerized infrastructure.
- Work in an Agile team attending ceremonies and collaborating on architectural decisions.
- Create technical documentation with tools like Vision, PlantUML, and Confluence.
- Leverage monitoring tools and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and system health.
Must-Have Skills
- 3–5+ years of Go (Golang) development experience. More senior roles, while still hands-on will include system design and architecture.
- 5–7+ years of overall software development experience.
- Event-Driven Architecture: design experience using Solace or Kafka (preferably Solace).
- Strong knowledge of Pub/Sub messaging patterns and asynchronous systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, REST/RPC APIs, and SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with containers (OCP preferred; Kubernetes or Docker also acceptable).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Choreography patterns in distributed systems.
- NoSQL exposure (MongoDB, Azure SQL MI, etc.).
This role is hybrid, based in Toronto, with on-site attendance required 2 days per week. Contracts are typically 9 months with high potential for extension based on performance and team needs.
