Heavy Equipment Operator
- Pay Rate: $19-26/hour/hour on W2, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 6 months with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors
- Location: Belle Fourche, SD 57717 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- General knowledge of hydraulic principles.
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Skills are typically acquired through completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years experience operating Caterpillar 637 scrapers, D9 dozers and 140 patrol, in a mine setting, required or general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozer and 980 loader in stockpile setting.
- Machinery/tools used: 627K scrapers 740CG articulated dump trucks D9 D10 dozer 14M blade
- Basic understanding of earth moving
- This is a MSHA/Field position,onshore
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Drivers license is required
- 3 years scraper experience preferred
- Ability to operate Heavy Equipment safely
- Ability to take and understand direction
- Attendance
- Good Attitude
