Raise is hiring a Jira Platform Business Analyst  for Our Client one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada. This position is a six (6) Month contract located in Burnaby, BC. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

Description

The Analyst in this role will play a pivotal role in supporting the onboarding of new business groups to the Jira platform. You will be responsible for initial discussions, requirements gathering and documentation, license management, user training, and “Insights” reporting. You will also be involved in integration consultations and maintaining operational procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Onboard new business groups to the Jira platform
  • Conduct initial discussions and gather requirements
  • Document business requirements, including PIAs and HL requirements
  • Coordinate onboarding and training for Business Group Admins
  • Manage Jira platform licenses, including product, apps, sites, and users
  • Generate “Insights” reports on platform and license utilization
  • Maintain training information, including links to links to Atlassian University courses & instructional videos
  • Participate in integration consultations and coordination (e.g., Enterprise API Management Service, ESB, ServiceNow)
  • Enterprise API Management Service

  • Develop and maintain operational procedures (Ops Procs) and swim lanes

Required

  • 7 years of business analysis experience in large IT projects within a complex enterprise environment
  • Experience with JIRA cloud platform (Atlassian)
  • Previous experience with process design and swim lane documentation
  • Experience with Enterprise API Management Service, ESB, ServiceNow
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Education and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of business domain and how technology aligns with business objectives
  • Advanced business analysis skills with the ability to learn quickly and grasp complex business problems
  • Working knowledge of public sector or utilities industry (an asset)
  • Familiarity with ’s business and technology landscape (an asset)
  • Experience with ’s Project Delivery Methodology (ITDSP) (an asset)
  • Excellent facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
