Learning Management System Advisor (Workday Learning)
- Pay Rate: $68.19/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 6 Months

Raise is currently hiring a Learning Management System Advisor (Workday Learning) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Workday Learning Management System (LMS) in this role will be in a technical and hands-on position responsible for maintaining the integrity, quality, and scalability of the Workday Learning platform data, specifically focusing on metadata governance and content lifecycle management. The successful candidate will be crucial in supporting the growth of the learning catalog by ensuring accurate, searchable, and compliant learning data.
Responsibilities
- Content Archiving
- Deactivate courses identified for removal.
- Ensure associated learning paths and workbook items remain functional or have appropriate replacements.
- Metadata Cleanup
- Audit and improve metadata across all eLearning assets.
- Apply consistent naming conventions, categories, and tagging.
- Complete missing metadata fields to enhance learner searchability and navigation.
- Document procedures for ongoing metadata maintenance and governance.
- Campaign Conversion (if applicable)
- Assist in transitioning existing campaigns to engagement formats.
- Collaborate with Learning Partners and course owners to confirm audience targeting and business rules.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience administering a Workday Learning Management System or similar LMS platforms.
- Experience working as a contractor or consultant in a large, complex corporate environment, preferably within the
- Proven experience with technical data management, data loading (EIBs or similar), and bulk content/metadata manipulation within a major LMS/HRIS system.
- Experience in LMS content lifecycle management including archiving, decommissioning, and version control.
- Ability to build and modify custom reports for auditing metadata, tracking compliance, and validating data load success
- Education and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. * A combination of relevant training and extensive practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Workday Pro Certification in Workday Learning or equivalent Workday HCM certification/training focused on the Learning module is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in high-volume data environments.
