Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

  • Pay Rate: $18.72/hour on W2
  • Contract Length: 4 months
  • Location: North Kingstown, RI 02852 (Onsite)
  • Work Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:55 PM – 10:55 PM

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader

Overview

  • The Machine Operator will operate various card production equipment to personalize debit/credit cards according to customer specifications.
  • The role involves working with other operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to meet daily and monthly production goals, performing minor equipment maintenance, and conducting quality inspections. The operator will also identify and address potential production or quality issues while adhering to all security and production policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate card production equipment and perform related activities.
  • Confirm work receipt.
  • Formulate and implement work priority decisions.
  • Exceed production output and quality standards.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments per written and oral instructions.
  • Work independently performing quality inspections on own work to production standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Identify potential production and quality problems; recommend remedial, corrective, or contingency action.
  • Work with other operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to assist with problems and to an effective work environment.
  • Ensure conformance to the vision, mission, and values of the company.
  • Awareness and compliance with all security and production policies/procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards of a workstation.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Attend appropriate training and meetings as required.
  • Meet safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Good communication skills in both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical ability.
  • 1-3 years of experience in safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and operate a machine for 6+ hours per day.
