SUMMARY

The system programmer is responsible for ensuring that the software is functional and taking action to correct any failures. We have exciting transformation, evolution, and upgrade projects for IMS version 15.4. Plenty of room for technological learning and career development

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • At least 5 years of experience with IMS Mainframe
  • Documented experience working with IMS, BMC (Mainview) & CA applications: IMS for z/OS, IMS for z/OS Utility suite, IBM IMS Administration Tools, IMS DB/DC Tools, BMC DB/DC Tools
  • Knowledge of SMP/E and proven experience of mainframe software upgrades
  • Knowledge of installing & tuning monitoring tools, eg. Omegamon
  • Providing support with various backup/recovery scenarios
  • Candidate should be self-organized, eager to learn with a strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills person

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge related to DB2 is a huge advantage
  • Experience with Compuware toolsets for managing DB2on
  • Experience in support and deployment with DB2 z/OS database
  • Working knowledge of DB2 data sharing groups
  • Familiarity with z/OS, JES2, TSO ISPF, DFSMS, IPCS, EREP, RACF, WLM
  • Familiarity with Office products e.g. Word Excel, Powerpoint
  • Expert knowledge of SMP/E
  • Expert knowledge of IPCS and EREP
  • Expert knowledge of JCL, ISPF skels and macros, CLIST and REXX
