Position – Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd shift
• Full-time, permanent position

Responsibilities:
• Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
• Repairs electrical equipment.
• Performs skilled maintenance activities including welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
• Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
• Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Operates hand saw, drill press, and electric drill.
• Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
• Develops, implements, and reviews regular maintenance work orders.
• Coordinates, arranges, and supervises or provides for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.
• Supervises maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and machinery.
• Responsible for loss or damage of maintenance tools and materials.
• Follows safety procedures and regulations.
• Handles employee issues such as performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Adheres to safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
• Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
• Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; attending leadership development courses as offered and leading company culture initiatives.

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years’ supervisory experience.
• Four years related maintenance experience.
