Office Clerk – Proficient
- Location: Toronto or Mississauga, ON (Hybrid, 4 days in office/1 day WFH)
- Contract Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Our client is the Canadian gold standard in the Financial Services Industry. We at Raise are hiring a Office Clerk – Proficient one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Responsibilities:
- Review pending account transfer requests and communicate with external financial institutions via phone call and email for status updates and resolve transfer issues
- Approx. 60-70 accounts per day
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints
- Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages
- Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities
- Compute, record and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems.
Must-have Skills:
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of job-related experience.
- Previous experience in banking operations and/or customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Account transfer experience.
- Experience working in a financial institution.
- Experience working in a call center.
- Bilingual in French/English.
