Project Scheduler/Planner
Location: Remote, with weekly on-site presence required at the Ottawa facility.
Contract Length: 4 Months
We at Raise are hiring a Project Scheduler/Planner for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Responsibility:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS project.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met.
- Track the progress and adjust and update the schedule based on actual resources.
- Reach out to subtrades to adjust the schedule as needed.
- Set the schedule baseline and cost baseline.
- Monitor the schedule and budget for any slippage and develop a recovery plan if necessary.
- Extract progress reports and obtain Earned Value (EV), Cost Variance (CV), and Schedule Variance (SV) metrics.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including the GC, subtrades and
- Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met, with a focus on client necessary delivery dates.
- Prepare and present schedule reports to the project team and stakeholders, with a focus on critical activities, resources histogram, and earned value.
- Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with other project team members, including project supervisor and client’s vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Track the key procurements to make its delivery on the planned dates.
Deliverables:
- Detailed project schedule, including task lists, resource allocations, timelines, budget allocation and critical path.
- Regular schedule updates and reports.
- Schedule risk assessments and mitigation plans, with a focus on resource availability, external dependencies and procurements delivery.
- Progress reports and status updates, with a focus on percentage complete, critical path analysis
- Earned Value (EV), Cost Variance (CV), and Schedule Variance (SV) reports.
- Recovery plans for any schedule or budget slippage.
