Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist – Senior

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to examine, understand and present requirements, data and information in a cohesive manner using various tools including TOAD, SQL Server Management Studio, Visio, Powerpoint, Miro, Mermaid.js, Excel
  • Ability to Lead and advise on data compatibility and recommend solutions.   
  • Superior knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Office suite and Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Experience in database transition to work between platforms and manage multiple stages of projects from initiation to testing to delivery
  • Ability to liaise and provide reporting information, assessment and data interpretation to others 

Qualifications:

  • Design prototypes of business intelligence solutions (dashboards and reports)
  • Undertake special assignments/sub-projects as assigned.
  • Assess, evaluate, and document stakeholder interests.  
  • Conduct business requirement sessions and document options and outcomes.
  • Prepare and document data analysis findings and data dictionaries.
  • Participate in problem analysis and identify opportunities where business intelligence and advanced analytics can be used to support project and/or program objectives.
  • Serve as a data analytics subject matter expert on inter-disciplinary project teams and/or as an ad-hoc advisor to deliver data analytics expertise and advice.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of developed analytical solutions to identify opportunities for enhancements or evolution.
  • Research, prepare and document issues related to data collection and reporting requirements.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver demo and training sessions on new Business Intelligence dashboards and reports to all levels of user community.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to IT processes and standards.
  • Participate in development and UAT testing and document results.
  • Participate in Knowledge transfer.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst in building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards
  • Proven experience in understanding, capturing, and analyzing complex and sometimes competing business requirements to develop Power BI and Business Intelligence products
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI, SQL Query and/or other data query tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power BI service  
  • Proven, demonstratable experience in data visualization; working with BI implementation methodologies
  • Knowledge of data analysis, data management
  • Proven ability to partner with internal/external stakeholders and liaise with technical experts and non-technical colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and facilitation skills  
  • Strong written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with special attention to correct use of tense, grammar/spelling and terminology
  • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritize workload, ensuring timelines are met and respond to demands of a dynamic environment

Mandatory Requirements: At least 5 years of experience

  • All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS. 
  • Security Clearance process, levels, roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) any time prior or during the term of the contract.
