Senior Product Designer

Location: Toronto, ON, Hybrid – (2 to 3 days in office Days are flexible)

Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Challenge the status quo through critical, analytical, and creative thinking.
  • Produce the most applicable artifacts at each stage of the UX design process whether it be low, medium, or high fidelity.
  • Partner with UX Research team to gain the optimal understanding of the users and their problems.
  • Present work with clarity. Always aligning to experience objectives and outcomes.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate discovery, ideation, or co-creation workshops.

Must-have Skills:

  • BA/BS Degree or Diploma in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Portfolio or case studies that focuses on how you delivered high quality applications with cross-discipline teams.
  • Soft skills – Quick thinker and proactive
  • UX – higher end and UI – lower end. both are important.
  • Proficient in Figma
  • Experience in an applied research setting including experience integrating user research into design.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rational and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
  • Experience in leading design in a product environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools.
  • Experience in Figma
  • Experience in UX – higher end and UI – lower end. 

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
  • Experience working within enterprise agile environments.
  • Diverse skillset/experience outside of UX Design. I.e. Development, Product, etc.
  • Experience in Adobe.
