We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing like crazy and adding a Quality Technician to their team.
Pay Rate: $23.00-$33.00/hour depending on experience
Location: Onsite – Shreveport, LA
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Information: Standard License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities with a focus on electrical components, systems, and assemblies. This role ensures compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements through inspections, testing, and documentation within the assigned organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections and tests on electrical components, wiring, control panels, materials, equipment, and subassemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and applicable standards.
* Review and validate documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
* Use calibrated electrical measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters) with acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
* Perform functional testing of electrical systems and troubleshoot non-conformances.
* Document inspection and test results using designated business systems, following applicable procedures and electrical test plans.
* Participate in job risk analysis and support continual improvement initiatives.
* Ensure stability and consistency of test results over time.
* Maintain good housekeeping and organization within testing and inspection areas.
* Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to related Risk Assessments and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Apply principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and procedures.
* Experience with electrical inspections, testing, or troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality management systems is a plus.
* Familiarity with industry standards.
* Prior experience in quality control or electrical testing preferred.
