Vendor Surveillance Coordinator 

  • Pay Rate: $33.78/hour on W2
  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Onsite)

Raise is currently hiring a Vendor Surveillance Coordinator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • The Construction Management Resource Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between vendors, inspection teams, and engineering to coordinate and align Construction Management & Inspection Resources in support of project programs entering the construction implementation phase.
  • This position requires excellent partnership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex processes simultaneously and independently.
  • The ideal candidate will possess hands-on understanding of inspection processes, hydrotesting, and general construction practices, along with the ability to maintain a professional and adaptable attitude in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all required checklists are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as liaison between vendors, inspection agencies, and engineering teams to maintain alignment and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements; attend meetings and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Review Vendor ITPs for alignment with Project Specifications and coordinate with discipline engineering as required.
  • Manage the distribution of final document packages to inspection teams.
  • Coordinate inspection-related RFIs and NCRs, determining resolution paths based on risk.
  • Review inspection reports and turnover packages (e.g., MTRs) and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying real-time trends and process efficiencies.
  • Monitor KPIs and support supplier performance management (manufacturing and inspection agencies).
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports, test packages, and documentation as required.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of hydrotesting (note: candidates must possess real, practical understanding—not just theoretical exposure).
  • Utilize strong computer skills for tracking, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and project teams.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in business analysis, vendor surveillance, project coordination, or construction management within industrial, pipeline, or facility environments.
  • Proven expertise in customer service or business relationship management.
  • Solid understanding of inspection processes, vendor surveillance, and hydrotesting procedures.
  • Exposure to construction or operational field environments preferred.
  • Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Military service may substitute for industry experience (MOS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) or Construction Management.
  • Strong hydrotest expertise highly preferred.
  • API 510 certification is an asset.
  • Ability to review inspection test plans, welding procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO 9001.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training.
  • Travel may include overnight stays.
